Ron: The work of Oakland Symphony is important to us. We make regular donations each year, but we wanted to do more. We learned about the Oakland Symphony Society, which is a special group of people who leave gifts to Oakland Symphony in their will. We feel very fortunate that we can attend Oakland Symphony concerts. We wouldn’t be able to do this if it were not for the generous donors who came before us.
Cynthia: We met with our lawyer and revised our wills. We are leaving a percentage of our estate to Oakland Symphony.
Ron: We let Oakland Symphony know about our plans and they were elated. We love being part of this special group. We will continue to make gifts during our lives, but it feels good to know that the gifts in our wills will help sustain Oakland Symphony in the future too.
